Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kunta Kinte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kinte comes to the cage accompanied by Baka Survivor!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

12 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kunta Kinte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charlie Chase!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kinte moves away.
A shot to de liver by Chase. Beautiful body shot.
Kinte misses the jab.
Chase moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Chase lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chase fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kinte takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kinte looks for a takedown but Chase sprawls well.
Chase lands a head kick. Kinte smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Chase ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kinte on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chase. Chase obviously looking to wear him down.
Chase throws a wild body kick that Kinte sees coming a mile off.
Kinte takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chase wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chase fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A jab from Kinte misses.
Chase lands with a straight right. Kinte didn't see that one coming.
Nice jab there from Chase.
Kinte loads up on a big right hand but Chase slips the punch.
Chase scores with a kick to the midsection.
Kinte scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Kinte wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chase keeps working.
Chase sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kinte lands a nice short elbow.
Chase has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kinte is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chase is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kinte pulls his head out easily.
Chase is trying to get back to full guard.
Kinte really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Chase pushes Kinte off looking to stand but Kinte dives back in and keeps control.
Kinte is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Chase is looking for a sweep. Kinte is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kinte seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chase does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kinte perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kinte lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kinte wants to free his trapped foot but Chase is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kinte winds up and cracks Chase with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Chase looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kinte looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chase with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kinte moves into full mount! Chase won't be happy about that!
Chase is trying desperately to improve position.
Kinte working for a submission but Chase is keeping him at bay.

Chase is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kinte trying to control but Chase is having none of it.

Kinte is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Chase can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Kinte cracks Chase with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Chase is rocked!
Kinte has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chase throws a head kick that half lands.
Chase scores with a hook to the body. Kinte takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Chase looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A swing and a miss from Kinte.
Chase throws a hook to the side of Kinte's head but Kinte sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kinte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kinte wants to control but Chase is keeping him busy.
Chase is trying to control Kinte's posture but Kinte avoids it.
Kinte trying to control the position but Chase is working away.
Kunta Kinte overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Chase is trying to improve his position.
Kinte is chipping away with strikes.
Chase wants to control but Kinte postures up.
Chase tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Kinte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chase is looking to escape.
Chase is trying to stand.
Kinte controlling the pace for now.
Kinte with shots to the head and body - Chase looks very uncomfortable down there.
Kinte has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chase's face.

Kinte lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Chase wants to hold on but Kinte pushes him away.
