Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gassey Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Lancelot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack comes to the cage accompanied by Stand up like a hurricane. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gassey Jack! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sir Lancelot! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lancelot was well out of range. Poor timing from Jack. Lancelot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gassey Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lancelot keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jack. He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lancelot, into his guard. Jack forces his way into half guard. Jack thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lancelot's head. Lancelot wants to improve his position but Jack is controlling well.
Lancelot is refusing to be controlled, as Jack sits in half guard. Jack working Lancelot over with strikes. Jack is nestled in close to Lancelot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jack with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lancelot can do anything to dispel that myth. That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancelot is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jack moves into full mount! Lancelot won't be happy about that! Lancelot is bucking up trying to escape but Jack cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jack swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lancelot is now in Jack's guard. A big mistake from Jack there, giving up the dominant position! Jack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jack tries to bum rush Lancelot with a series of wild strikes but Lancelot uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lancelot scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jack scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Lancelot sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Jack wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lancelot walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jack throws a series of punches but Lancelot avoids them all with ease. Jack misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's going to take a lot out of Sir Lancelot. Jack thuds a left hand into Lancelot's body. Gassey Jack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gassey Jack clearly takes that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lancelot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jack stalks Lancelot and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lancelot's face. Lancelot staggers backwards, shaken. Lancelot shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jack throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jack scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lancelot doesn't seem bothered though. Jack ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Lancelot dodges the punch combination from Jack.

Lancelot closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lancelot lands in his opponent's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jack wants to sweep here but Lancelot controlling him for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Gassey Jack showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jack has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
