Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shooter McGavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayatollah Khomeini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Shooter McGavin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Shooter McGavin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ayatollah Khomeini!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGavin tries to move into range but Khomeini moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ayatollah Khomeini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGavin gets caught flat footed, as Khomeini shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGavin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Khomeini wants to control from the top but McGavin keeps moving.
McGavin working for a triangle but Khomeini defends it easily.
McGavin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khomeini doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khomeini manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McGavin is looking for a triangle but Khomeini pushes his legs off easily.

McGavin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khomeini gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McGavin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round.
McGavin trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McGavin punching from mount but Khomeini doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGavin wants to control the pace but Khomeini is squirming around nicely.
Khomeini keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Khomeini is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Khomeini looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Khomeini looks gassed!
McGavin has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Khomeini is defending well but eventually McGavin manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Khomeini has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shooter McGavin!
