Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJJ Acton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Bell! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell misses with a hook. Acton ducked under it nicely. Bell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Acton tries to move into range but Bell moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Acton fails with a takedown attempt. Acton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bell. Acton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bell throws a hook but Acton avoids it easily. A slow jab from Bell misses its intended target. Acton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bell sprawls well. Bell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Acton gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJJ Acton. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab lands there for Bell.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Acton. Bell cracks Acton with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Acton looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bell finish him?
Acton is rocked! Joe Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck with that takedown attempt from Acton. Acton looks for a takedown but Bell sprawls well. Acton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bell wants it to stay on the feet. Acton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bell. Bell lands with a right that hurts Acton. Acton looks to clinch but Bell throws a short knee that drops Acton. This one is all over!
