Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Levi Templeton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Templeton's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mudvayne-Scream With Me. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Levi Templeton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Monsoon!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Templeton scores with a decent looking hook.
Monsoon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Monsoon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Templeton napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Monsoon throws and elbow that misses. Templeton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Monsoon's guard. Nice move by Templeton!
Monsoon wants to sweep here but Templeton controlling him for the moment.
Monsoon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Templeton tries to free his leg and advance position but Monsoon is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Templeton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Monsoon swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Monsoon is trying to ground and pound but Templeton uses the momentary lack of control by Monsoon to regain half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Monsoon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Monsoon throws a strike aimed at the side of Templeton's head but Templeton avoids it well.
Monsoon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Templeton is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Monsoon is looking to take a break and control but Templeton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Monsoon cracks Templeton with an elbow. That is naaassty.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Monsoon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Monsoon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Templeton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ray Monsoon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Monsoon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Templeton keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Templeton parries the strikes from Monsoon easily there. Monsoon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Templeton to escape.

Templeton wants to improve his position but Monsoon is controlling well.
Templeton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Monsoon is working away from the top position though.

Templeton kicks off Monsoon and gets to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Templeton throws a head kick that half lands.

Monsoon closes the distance and clinches up with Templeton, looking for a takedown. Monsoon pushes Templeton against the cage but Templeton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Levi Templeton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Monsoon.

Monsoon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
