The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hernandez closes the distance and clinches up with McLeod, looking for a takedown. Hernandez pushes McLeod against the cage but McLeod circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McLeod shoots in but Hernandez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sandro Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hernandez shoots in for a double leg but McLeod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McLeod lands a body shot.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McLeod lands a nice looking body shot.

McLeod looks to land a combination. Hernandez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
McLeod throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Hernandez stumbling backwards into the cage! Hernandez bounces back off the cage towards McLeod, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! McLeod lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! McLeod celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
