Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marc Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - The Auld Triangle. Connor Kelly is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marc Lucas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor Kelly! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kelly avoids it really well and circles away. Kelly is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lucas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kelly as he avoids it easily. Lucas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kelly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lucas somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Lucas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lucas throws a nice looking combination but Kelly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lucas gets a takedown into half guard. Kelly is doing well to control the position and prevent Lucas from advancing to side control. Lucas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kelly defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lucas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kelly is pressing down on Lucas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Lucas postures up in Kelly's guard and throws a big left but Kelly blocks it. Lucas looking to pass the guard. Lucas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kelly lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lucas!

Kelly is looking for the choke from the back position but Lucas is controlling his hands well. Lucas tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Lucas is looking to get to half guard. Lucas tries to lock up and control but Kelly gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kelly stands up from mount. Strange move. A punch combination from Kelly misses. Lucas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kelly did well to prevent Lucas getting side control.

Kelly works his way to full guard. Good work. Kelly tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kelly is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lucas is looking to work some ground and pound but Kelly has wrist control. Kelly is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lucas drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kelly dives on top into guard. Lucas striking off his back but it's not causing Kelly any problems.

Lucas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kelly is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kelly has escaped and now he's on top! Lucas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly passes into half guard. Kelly passes to full mount! Kelly has hold of Lucas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lucas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lucas is working hard here to advance position. Lucas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Lucas moves into full guard.
Lucas wants to sweep here but Kelly controlling him for the moment. Lucas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kelly postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly drops back looking for a leg! Lucas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lucas manages to kick Kelly off! Kelly jumps back into Lucas's guard. Lucas keeping moving, preventing Kelly from controlling successfully. Kelly stopping the sweep attempt from Lucas.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kelly misses with the combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lucas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kelly sprawls well initially but Lucas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lucas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lucas not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kelly wants to control but Lucas is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kelly keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kelly looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kelly looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lucas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kelly defends it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lucas is working for a submission of some sort.

Marc Lucas dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Marc Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lucas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Marc Lucas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kelly throws a series of punches but Lucas moves out of range. Lucas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kelly has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lucas is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are battling for position here. Kelly manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kelly controlling Lucas's posture. Lucas has gone for a leg lock! Kelly is pushing down on Lucas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lucas is fighting to maintain full guard but Kelly has managed to sneak the leg through. Lucas is trying to escape back to his feet but Kelly uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Lucas is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kelly decides to stand back up. No luck for Lucas with that takedown attempt. A punch lands to the side of Lucas 's head but he takes it in his stride. Lucas shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Lucas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kelly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kelly throws a right and a left that Lucas avoids nicely. Kelly blocks a jab. Kelly lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kelly lands with a hook. Lucas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Lucas dodges the punch combination from Kelly.
