Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Thomson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomson has chosen Sabre as his entrance music. Mike Quinn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Quinn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Thomson!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Thomson misses with the combination.
Quinn clinches up with Thomson and pushes him back against the cage.
Quinn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Thomson tries to break free but Quinn pushes him back against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Quinn.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Quinn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Thomson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Quinn keeps control of Thomson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Thomson is trying to force a seperation but Quinn has the dominant position.
Quinn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Thomson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Quinn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thomson avoids the elbow strike from Quinn, against the cage.
Quinn jumps guard but Thomson stands there with Quinn around his waist. Quinn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Quinn is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Thomson can't fight it off and eventually Quinn manages to take the fight to the floor. Thomson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Thomson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Quinn won't allow Thomson to sweep him here.
Quinn drops back looking for a leg! Thomson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thomson manages to kick Quinn off! Quinn jumps back into Thomson's guard.
Quinn thows a big elbow that misses.

Quinn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Thomson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quinn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thomson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Quinn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thomson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck for Quinn with that takedown attempt.
Thomson fails to land the takedown.
Quinn shoots for a takedown but Thomson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Quinn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fight stays on the outside here - Quinn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gabriel Thomson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thomson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quinn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Thomson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Quinn is looking to clinch but Thomson is avoiding it.

Quinn blocks a head kick by Thomson.
Quinn lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Quinn shoots in but no luck this time.
Thomson swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Quinn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Quinn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Quinn is breathing heavily.
Thomson stuffs the takedown.
Quinn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Quinn dives in and grabs Thomson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thomson pushes down on Quinn's head and hops out.
Thomson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Quinn.
Thomson tries to score with a low kick but Quinn moves his leg out of the way.
Thomson scores with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Quinn.
Quinn tries to clinch there but Thomson circles away.
Quinn swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Quinn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thomson as he jumps to the side.
Quinn shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomson tries to sprawl out of it but Quinn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thomson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Quinn manages to avoid it.
Thomson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Thomson throws a head kick that half lands.
Thomson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quinn.
Thomson wants to land a leg kick but Quinn is out of range.
Quinn misses with a takedown attempt - Thomson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Quinn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Thomson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quinn takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Thomson throws a head kick but Quinn moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Quinn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thomson leaves Quinn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Thomson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Quinn tries to clinch up but Thomson circles away and keeps his distance.
Quinn checks a leg kick.
Quinn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thomson as he jumps to the side.
The crowd cheers as Thomson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Quinn doesn't seem phased though.
Quinn is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Thomson throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Quinn is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
