Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marc Callaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Callaway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Lashley! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lashley forces Callaway back against the ropes and clinches. Lashley is trying to drag Callaway to the mat but Callaway just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Lashley throws a head punch that misses. Lashley keeps control of Callaway as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Callaway throws an elbow but it misses.
Callaway tries to stall but Lashley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Lashley tries to pull guard but Callaway won't allow it.
Callaway is trying to break free. Lashley gets underhooks to prevent Callaway's takedown attempt.
A head punch on the inside from Callaway fails to land. Lashley tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Callaway wants to get back to striking at distance but Lashley won't allow it.
Callaway wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lashley has him pressed against the ropes. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lashley as Callaway tries to tie him up. Lashley controlling the action here for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Callaway throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Lashley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Marc Callaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Lashley. Lashley displaying some good clinch control by pressing Callaway up against the ropes. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Callaway creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lashley tries to pull guard but Callaway holds him up against the ropes and eventually Lashley drops back down to his feet.
Lashley manages to break the clinch.
Callaway tries to clinch but fails miserably and Lashley counters with a shoot takedown. Callaway fights it but they end up in guard. Lashley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lashley trying to control but Callaway is working from the bottom. Callaway throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Callaway looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lashley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Callaway. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Callaway working for submissions but it's allowed Lashley to get to half guard.
Callaway manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callaway has a closed guard, preventing Lashley from standing up. Lashley wants to control from the top but Callaway keeps moving. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Callaway has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lashley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Callaway is breathing heavily. Lashley stopping the sweep attempt from Callaway. Callaway is trying to keep Lashley in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lashley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lashley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lashley passes into half guard. Callaway misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Lashley working Callaway over with strikes. Callaway tries to get to full guard but Lashley has control of the leg. Well, if Lashley is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Callaway missing with punches from the bottom.
Lashley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lashley is trying to control. Callaway wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lashley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Callaway doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lashley. Lashley with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Lashley dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lashley has Callaway up against the ropes in a clinch.
Lashley is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Callaway fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Callaway lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Lashley is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Callaway is keeping busy. Lashley pulls guard successfully.
Callaway distracts Lashley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Callaway tries to stand but Lashley is controlling from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Callaway trying to control the position from guard on top but Lashley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lashley can do anything to dispel that myth. Lashley is trying to control the position but Callaway postures up. Lashley throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lashley controls Callaway momentarily but Callaway frees himself. Callaway trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lashley's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Callaway is looking to work some ground and pound but Lashley has wrist control. Callaway would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Callaway darts in trying to clinch and Lashley counters by clinching up. Callaway tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Callaway. Lashley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Callaway's efforts to push away. Lashley breaks the clinch.
Lashley darts in and clinches Callaway up against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Callaway with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Callaway. Lashley fails to pull guard.
Callaway breaks the clinch.
Callaway gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lashley counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Callaway. That's going to take a lot out of him. A knee to the head by Lashley.
Lashley gets control of Callaway's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lashley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Callaway has gone for a leg lock! Lashley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Callaway's guard. Callaway is looking for a triangle here but Lashley uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Callaway stops Lashley from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callaway tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lashley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lashley trying to control the position but Callaway is working away. Lashley taking a breather here. Lashley scores with a couple of short elbows. Lashley trying to control the action but Callaway is working from the bottom. Lashley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Callaway, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Callaway sneaks back into half guard. Lashley drops an elbow to the side of Callaway's head. Lashley stands up from half guard. Callaway looks to throw the jab but Lashley is out of range. Callaway takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lashley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Callaway fails with the takedown and Lashley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lashley wants to stand up but Callaway has a hold of him and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Lashley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Callaway lands a nice hook to Lashley's body. Lashley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lashley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Callaway napping and manages to drive through into side control! Callaway tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lashley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Callaway tries to strike but it doesn't land. Callaway is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lashley off and has taken his back! Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Callaway.
Callaway doesn't have the hooks in and Lashley manages to turn into his guard.
Callaway striking off his back but it's not causing Lashley any problems. Lashley trying to control but Callaway is working from the bottom. Callaway throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Bobby Lashley has got the better of the ground game so far. Lashley slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Callaway. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaway has a hand on Lashley's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lashley takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Lashley lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
BOOM! Lashley connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lashley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Callaway tries to reverse the position but Lashley maintains control. Lashley looking to control and managing it successfully. Callaway swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Callaway flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Lashley has control of Callaway's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Callaway regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lashley lands a big elbow. Callaway regains half guard. Callaway manages to get to full guard.
Callaway working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lashley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lashley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callaway working a defensive guard but Lashley manages to pass into side control anyway.
Callaway is not content to let Lashley control the position. Callaway tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lashley presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Callaway is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Callaway's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Callaway is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Callaway has given up his back here.
Lashley is not going to allow Callaway to sit and survive in this position. Callaway can't escape the position.
Callaway wants to control his opponent's hands but Lashley gets his hands free. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Callaway is really stuck here.
And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Lashley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lashley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
