The bell rings for round one and we are underway! feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Focker swivels though and keeps the full guard. Focker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. trying to control the action but Focker is working from the bottom. lands a nice forearm strike. wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Focker, who protects the arm well. Focker is trying to control 's posture but avoids it. throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. You can see the frustration on Focker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Focker looks gassed! is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Focker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Focker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
