Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Goldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Goldstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lawrence Brown! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown fails in his attempt to clinch. Brown lands a big head kick that sends Goldstein tumbling to the mat! Brown takes a step backwards and waves Goldstein back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Tom Goldstein has been cut. Brown tries to clinch up but Goldstein circles away and keeps his distance. Brown shoots in for a double leg but Goldstein sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Goldstein blocks a head kick by Brown.
Goldstein looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Goldstein showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Goldstein looking to pass the guard. Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy. Goldstein is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Brown wants to get back to his feet but Goldstein is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown keeping full guard, as Goldstein tries to pass. Brown is looking to stand up but Goldstein isn't so interested in that idea. Goldstein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Goldstein drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.
Goldstein shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Goldstein was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldstein is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brown can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goldstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Goldstein is breathing heavily. Brown is trying desperately to improve position. Brown bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Goldstein tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brown showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Brown wants to stand but Goldstein is controlling his posture from full guard. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Goldstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goldstein has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Goldstein's legs - danger averted. Goldstein has momentary wrist control but Brown slips an elbow through the middle. Brown is fighting to break Goldstein's control of his arms but Goldstein is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Goldstein is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brown defends well. Brown wants to control from the top but Goldstein keeps moving. Goldstein keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. Brown wanted to stand there but Goldstein had control of the position. Goldstein managing to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goldstein looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Goldstein is retaining full guard. Goldstein tries to land a sweep but no joy. Goldstein has his feet on Brown's thighs here. He's pushed Brown off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Brown screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
