Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bud Cona! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cona cracks Fisler with an open hand slap. Fisler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cona is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Fisler pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cona is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisler can do anything to dispel that myth. Fisler thows a huge punch but Cona dodges it nicely.
Fisler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cona does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cona is trying to get back to full guard. Fisler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Oh, Cona has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Cona changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fisler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cona tries to move to mount but Fisler blocks the move with his legs. Cona in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Cona decides to take the fight back to the feet. Cona will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cona shoots in and bounces Fisler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cona connects with a couple of short punches. Cona is breathing heavily. Fisler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Matt Fisler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cona shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cona seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cona is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cona is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Fisler.
