Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Petrie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Step Into A World. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drew Petrie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Rogers! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrie looks to land a combination but Rogers avoids it well. A swing and a miss from Rogers. The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Petrie goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Petrie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rogers. Petrie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rogers. A slapping leg kick lands for Rogers.
Petrie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rogers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Petrie somewhat. Petrie is breathing heavily. Nice sprawl there from Rogers as Petrie shoots in. Petrie keeps the fight on the outside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A big right from Rogers misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rogers is defended easily by Petrie. Rogers misses with a combination
and Petrie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Petrie throws a leg kick and Rogers counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Drew Petrie has been cut. Petrie throws a lazy head kick and Rogers counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rogers slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers throws a strike but Petrie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rogers looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rogers is on top in guard.
Rogers stands and throws Petrie's legs to the side, diving into side control. Petrie trying to remain calm as Rogers controls from the top position. I looks like Rogers might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Brett Rogers just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Petrie misses with a combination
and Rogers counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers lands a knee to the body.
Rogers is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Drew Petrie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Rogers. Rogers comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Rogers lands a knee to the body.
Rogers pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rogers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rogers is working an open guard so Petrie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Petrie throws a sloppy head kick and Rogers counters by moving into the clinch. Rogers lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Petrie throws a head punch that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rogers is trying to drag Petrie to the mat but Petrie just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rogers drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Rogers dominated that round. The cut man is working on Drew Petrie's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Petrie shoots and misses and Rogers counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Petrie trying to hold on to Rogers's head to control him but Rogers postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rogers is working for a kimura but Petrie is defending it quite comfortably.
Rogers trying to pass the guard but Petrie defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rogers decides to stand up. Rogers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Petrie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rogers. Rogers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Petrie. Rogers connects with a high kick. Rogers throws a sloppy head kick and Petrie moves out of range easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rogers throws a hook to the side of Petrie's head but Petrie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Petrie throws a body punch but Rogers moves out of range. Drew Petrie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice takedown defense from Rogers. No joy for Petrie on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drew Petrie. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Drew Petrie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rogers pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Petrie scores with a one two! Rogers had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Petrie fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Petrie with a lazy takedown attempt and Rogers counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers looks to land a combination but Petrie avoids it well. Rogers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petrie sprawls well. Petrie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet. Petrie throws a combination that misses and Rogers decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Petrie's guard. Rogers controls from within his opponent's guard. Rogers trying to control but Petrie is working from the bottom. Rogers looking to sit in guard and control but Petrie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brett Rogers has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petrie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rogers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Petrie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Petrie swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rogers fails to land the takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Petrie moves out of range of the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Rogers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Drew Petrie's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Petrie moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Rogers throws a right and a left that Petrie avoids nicely. Petrie with a poor takedown and Rogers makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Rogers throws a nice head kick!
Rogers drives through and clinches with Petrie against the cage.

Rogers gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Petrie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rogers. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rogers tries to pass the half guard into mount. Petrie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Rogers moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Petrie! Rogers avoids the attempt from Petrie to control. Rogers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Petrie trying desperately to get to his feet.
Rogers cracks Petrie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rogers has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Petrie's face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers controlling from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers looking to ground and pound but Petrie is blocking nicely. Petrie squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers controlling his opponent. Petrie is bucking up trying to escape but Rogers cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rogers content just to control the position here. Rogers scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rogers sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Brett Rogers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Let's hope that Rogers has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rogers lands a big elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Brett Rogers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rogers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
