The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurier attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Laurier tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wood sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Laurier somewhat.
Wood takes a swing at Laurier's ribcage but misses.
Laurier throws a leg kick but Wood sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Wood throws a body punch but Laurier moves out of range.
Laurier dodges the punch combination from Wood.
Laurier connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Wood displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Laurier.
Wood misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Laurier.

Wood throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Laurier sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Wood counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Laurier misses with a takedown attempt - Wood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilfred Laurier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wood connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Wood digs a good hook to Laurier's body.
Wood throws a series of punches but Laurier avoids them all with ease.
Wood changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

George Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wood throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Laurier is breathing heavily.

It's a brutal combination of punches from Wood! Laurier is backing up but he can't get away as Wood lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Laurier and ends the fight. Great knockout.
