Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jules Winnfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jules Winnfield is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Strange! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jules Winnfield! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strange moves in looking to clinch but Winnfield pushes him off. Strange throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Strange stuffs the takedown. Strange with a poor takedown and Winnfield counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Winnfield is working for a submission of some sort.
Winnfield seems to be looking for submissions.
Strange controlling the position for now. Winnfield is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Strange sees it coming and defends easily. Winnfield is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winnfield prevents Strange from standing back up.
Strange is looking to improve his position.

Winnfield tries to pass to full mount but Strange defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Winnfield shoots in for a double leg but Strange sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Strange with a poor takedown and Winnfield counters with a nice double leg into side control. Strange won't be happy with that. Strange struggling a bit here. Strange is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Winnfield thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Winnfield looks gassed! Strange is trying to control Winnfield's posture but Winnfield avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strange tries to bench press Winnfield off him but Winnfield keeps the position. Winnfield is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Strange is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Strange knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Winnfield on the ground. Strange throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Strange is looking to reverse the position. Winnfield goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Strange has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Winnfield but great work by Strange. Winnfield gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winnfield wants to control but Strange is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Winnfield is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Strange can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Winnfield is looking to escape. Winnfield is in all sorts of trouble here.
Strange looking to control but Winnfield is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Winnfield is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jules Winnfield dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Strange scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Jules Winnfield has been cut. Ben Strange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strange gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Winnfield counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Strange is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Winnfield slips a nice elbow through Strange's hands, connecting with Strange's forehead. Strange is trying is best to control the position here. Winnfield is keen to just control but Strange is a slippery customer. Winnfield missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Winnfield with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Winnfield thows a huge punch but Strange dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winnfield looking for a submission but Strange manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Winnfield is breathing heavily. Winnfield looking to sit in guard and control but Strange gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Winnfield is trying to control the position but Strange postures up. Winnfield throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Strange throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Winnfield works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Strange is working Winnfield over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Strange trying to control the position from guard on top but Winnfield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strange has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Strange drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Strange jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Strange stopping the sweep attempt from Winnfield.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Strange drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winnfield keeping moving, preventing Strange from controlling successfully. Strange throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Winnfield works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Winnfield working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Strange doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Strange manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Winnfield can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Strange controls the pace. Strange scoring with some ground and pound. Winnfield avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Winnfield keeping moving, preventing Strange from controlling successfully. Winnfield has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Strange can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Strange throws a combination that misses and Winnfield counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Winnfield. Strange striking off his back but it's not causing Winnfield any problems. Strange looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Winnfield trying to control the position from guard on top but Strange is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Winnfield has gone for a leg lock! Strange slips out almost immediately though and dives into Winnfield's guard. Strange drops back looking for a leg! Winnfield is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Winnfield manages to kick Strange off! Strange jumps back into Winnfield's guard. Strange working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Strange will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jules Winnfield's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Strange might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Winnfield slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Winnfield swings around for an armbar but Strange sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Winnfield's guard. Jules Winnfield has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strange makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Winnfield is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Strange trying to control but Winnfield is working from the bottom. Winnfield is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Strange doesn't succeed with the takedown and Winnfield counters with a takedown into side control. Strange is trying to get back to half guard. Winnfield wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strange, who protects the arm well. Winnfield tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Winnfield has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

And that's the end of the fight! Jules Winnfield comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Winnfield has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
