Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mad Hatter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Sinistra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatter comes to the cage accompanied by They Don't Care About US. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mad Hatter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Sinistra!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinistra closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hatter to the mat! Hatter manages to get full guard.
Sinistra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hatter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sinistra wants to pass the guard but Hatter is keeping the position.
Sinistra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sinistra tries to free his leg and advance position but Hatter is retaining full guard.
Sinistra won't allow Hatter to sweep him here.
Hatter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hatter tries to get out of the position.
Sinistra trying to control the position from guard on top but Hatter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sinistra postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hatter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sinistra, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sinistra lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hatter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sinistra throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Sinistra throws some wild stikes that Hatter manages to avoid easily.
Sinistra is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Sinistra goes for an armbar but Hatter turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hatter.

Hatter wants to control from the top but Sinistra keeps moving.
Sinistra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hatter won't allow Sinistra to sweep him here.

Sinistra is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hatter dives into side control.

Hatter is looking to take a break and control but Sinistra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sinistra wants to clinch.
Sinistra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hatter as he jumps to the side.

Sinistra tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hatter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sinistra stuffs the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sinistra looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sinistra walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sinistra throws a right hand that Hatter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hatter also avoids with ease.

and Hatter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sinistra won't be happy with that.

Sinistra has his hands clasped together around Hatter's back. He's all about the action.
Sinistra wants to control but Hatter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mad Hatter will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sinistra wants to clinch but Hatter slips to the side
and Hatter counters with a nice uppercut.
Hatter throws a head kick but Sinistra moves out of range.
Hatter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sinistra as he jumps to the side.
Hatter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sinistra tries to clinch
and Hatter counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Sinistra tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sinistra misses with a takedown attempt
and Hatter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sinistra's guard.
Sinistra wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hatter wants to control from the top but Sinistra keeps moving.
Sinistra is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sinistra works his way into full mount!
Sinistra working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Hatter looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Sinistra! Submission of the night perhaps?
