Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Foster could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Miller's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Miller!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Miller to the mat! Miller manages to get full guard.
Miller looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Foster puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Miller makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Miller.
Foster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Miller seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Foster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Foster tries to stand but Miller is controlling from the bottom.
Foster wants to pass the guard but Miller is keeping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Miller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jim Foster will probably get the nod.

Foster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miller moves in looking to clinch but Foster pushes him off.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miller wants to improve his position but Foster is controlling well.

Foster prevents Miller from standing back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Foster doesn't manage to clinch there - Miller circles away.

Miller bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Foster is trying to improve his position.
Foster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
Miller looks up at the clock and then as Foster takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Miller smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Miller stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Miller has his takedown stuffed
and Foster counters with a one-two to the body.
Jim Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Miller.

Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Miller is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Foster has just dragged him back down to the mat.

James Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Foster moves into the clinch.
Foster wants to break free but Miller has control.
Foster prevents a takedown attempt there.
Foster tries to break free but Miller pushes him back against the ropes.
Miller lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Miller wants to break the clinch but can't.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Foster drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Miller tries to bench press Foster off him but Foster keeps the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Miller sneaks back into half guard.

Foster throwing shots but Miller is blocking nicely.

Foster is trying to work for a kimura but Miller is defending well.
Miller moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miller is on top in guard.
Miller trying to control but Foster is working from the bottom.
Miller is pushing down on Foster's leg trying to pass to half guard. Foster is fighting to maintain full guard but Miller has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miller wants to take a breather but Foster is having none of it.
Miller not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Miller throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Miller is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Foster checks a low kick from Miller.
Foster shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Miller scores with a one two! Foster had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Miller shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Foster counters with a nice body shot.
Miller lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Foster pinned against the cage. Foster gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jim Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Miller.

Miller tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
James Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller thuds a left hand into Foster's body.
Foster misses with a body shot.
Foster stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Foster wants it to stay on the feet.
Foster looks to land a combination but Miller avoids it well.
Foster lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Foster.
Foster tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Miller counters by moving into the clinch.
Foster lands a hook that snaps the head of Miller backwards.
Foster has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Miller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Miller gets control of Foster's arms and successfully pulls guard. Miller will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

James Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
