Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Stack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Andreoli!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andreoli throws a head kick but Stack moves out of range.

Andreoli has taken the fight to the clinch.
Andreoli stops a takedown attempt from Stack.

Stack manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stack lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Andreoli!
Andreoli tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Stack gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Andreoli moves into the clinch.

Stack drags the fight down to the ground.

Stack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Andreoli can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stack throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Stack looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Andreoli passes into half guard.
Andreoli tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Andreoli is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Stack!
Stack is working to get back to half guard.
Andreoli trying to control but Stack is having none of it.

Stack is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stack is working hard here to advance position.
Stack is squirming around, avoiding Andreoli's attempts to control the action.
Stack is trying to reverse the position but instead Andreoli has taken his back - oops!
Stack manages to reverse the position and now he's in Andreoli's guard. Nice work there by Stack.

Stack drops back looking for a leg! Andreoli is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Andreoli manages to kick Stack off! Stack jumps back into Andreoli's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Andreoli has closed the distance and engaged Stack in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Andreoli jumps guard.
Andreoli wants to sweep but no luck.
Stack wants to pass the guard but Andreoli is keeping the position.

Stack drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stack jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Andreoli looks gassed!
Stack is looking to advance position but Andreoli has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Stack can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stack wants to hold on but Andreoli pushes him away.
Stack tries to improve his position but instead Andreoli has taken his back!
Stack tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Andreoli prevents Stack from getting the reversal.
Andreoli trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Stack really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Andreoli moves to back control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Marco Andreoli will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stack fails to land the takedown.
Stack shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Andreoli pinned against the cage. Andreoli gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stack shoots in and drives through. Andreoli sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Stack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andreoli pushes Stack away with a front kick.
Andreoli misses with a two punch combination.

Andreoli is looking to clinch.
Andreoli misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Stack or perhaps it was just good defense by Andreoli which made him look bad.
Stack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Andreoli is fending him off so far but Stack persists. Nope, Andreoli circles away and we're back to standing.
Andreoli fails with the takedown

and Stack counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Andreoli pushes Stack off and gets back to his feet.

Stack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stack wants to pass the guard but Andreoli is keeping the position.
Stack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Andreoli works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Andreoli wants to get back to his feet but Stack is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Andreoli uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Andreoli throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stack misses with a takedown attempt
and Andreoli counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Stack is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Stack blocks a head kick by Andreoli.

Stack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stack postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Andreoli is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stack, into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Andreoli won't allow Stack to sweep him here.

Stack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stack is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Andreoli rolls with it to try and escape but Stack cranks on the arm and Andreoli is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
