Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Egberto Gismonti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rorion Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Egberto Gismonti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rorion Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gracie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Gismonti showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gracie.
Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gracie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gismonti wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Gismonti has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie stays in close to Gismonti's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gracie gets a takedown into half guard.
Gismonti is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Gismonti wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but Gismonti defending well.
Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

I looks like Gracie might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Gismonti is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
Gismonti wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gismonti blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gracie.
Gismonti tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.
Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gismonti!
Gracie is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gismonti can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gracie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Gismonti is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Gismonti flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gracie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Gismonti and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gracie slips an arm under Gismonti chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gracie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gracie is squeezing on Gismonti like an anaconda would it's prey. Gismonti fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rorion Gracie!
