Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepard's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Im Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?. Toro has chosen Te Dejo Madrid as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Chris Shepard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chris Shepard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Toro.
Toro throws a hook to the side of Shepard's head but Shepard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shepard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A slow jab from Toro misses its intended target.
Toro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Toro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shepard pinned against the cage. Shepard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Toro connects with a crisp jab.
Shepard instigates a clinch.
Toro has had enough of the clinch but Shepard keeps him there for the moment.

Toro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shepard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Shepard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chris Shepard just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Toro stuffs the takedown attempt from Shepard. Shepard gets slowly back to his feet.

and Shepard counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Shepard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Toro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Shepard looks to land a strike but Toro avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Toro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Shepard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shepard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Shepard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Toro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Shepard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Toro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shepard has managed to get both his arms back between Toro's legs - danger averted.
