Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Hughes has chosen Lamb of God-Omerta as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a body kick that misses.
Hughes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taylor defends it nicely.
Hughes throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.
Hughes misses with a takedown attempt - Taylor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hughes moves into the clinch.

Hughes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hughes off to one side.

Hughes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Taylor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Taylor. That snapped Hughes's head back.
A decent looking cross lands there for Taylor.
Taylor closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Taylor drives through and clinches with Hughes against the cage.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Taylor but Taylor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hughes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Taylor counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Taylor connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hughes. Hughes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hughes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Taylor has Hughes up against the cage in a clinch.
Taylor lands an uppercut.
Hughes takes a knee right on the jaw!
Taylor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Taylor digs a good hook to Hughes's body.
Hughes with a poor takedown
and Taylor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hughes!
The referee warns Hughes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Taylor is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Taylor extends the arm and Hughes is forced to tap!
