Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conjo Barbetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy LaPlaguea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy LaPlaguea is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from LaPlaguea as Barbetti shoots in.
LaPlaguea thuds a left hand into Barbetti's body.
Barbetti misses with a takedown attempt - LaPlaguea sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Barbetti gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
LaPlaguea lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barbetti backs up against the cage.
Barbetti scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
LaPlaguea stuffs the takedown attempt from Barbetti. Barbetti gets slowly back to his feet.

LaPlaguea slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

LaPlaguea is looking to control Barbetti's arms but Barbetti gets an underhook and turns him. Now LaPlaguea has his back to the cage.

LaPlaguea breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
LaPlaguea looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A head kick from Barbetti lands but LaPlaguea takes it in his stride.

and LaPlaguea makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Barbetti really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

LaPlaguea is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barbetti defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

LaPlaguea pushes down on Barbetti's leg and manages to get into half guard.

LaPlaguea avoids the attempt from Barbetti to control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

LaPlaguea gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
LaPlaguea misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barbetti fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
LaPlaguea rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barbetti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Well LaPlaguea has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
