Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ainsley Clearly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In the Air Tonight. Ainsley Clearly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Taylor Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ainsley Clearly! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clearly scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Green managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Clearly.
Green is trying to improve his position. Green is working hard here to advance position. Green regains half guard, as Clearly was trying to land strikes. Green works his way to full guard. Good work. Clearly throwing strikes from guard but Green blocks nicely. Clearly is looking to work some ground and pound but Green has wrist control. Clearly throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Clearly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Green wants to sweep here but Clearly controlling him for the moment. Clearly scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clearly landing some decent shots from guard. Clearly working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Clearly postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Clearly throws a strike but Green rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Clearly is trying to keep Green in close.
Green decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Clearly, up you get! Clearly closes the distance and clinches. Green drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Green holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green controls Clearly momentarily but Clearly frees himself. Green avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Green not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Green is pulling down on Clearly's head. It's preventing any offense from Clearly, at least for the moment. Clearly makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Clearly is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Clearly looks gassed! Green is trying to keep Clearly in close.
Green utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Clearly stands up over Green, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Clearly is one step ahead there. Clearly with a flurry of punches that miss. Green throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Green throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clearly's waist but Clearly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Green off to one side. Green shoots in but no luck this time. Clearly shoots and misses and Green decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Clearly's guard. Clearly looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Clearly striking off his back but it's not causing Green any problems. Green with a nice head shot there. Green sitting in guard here, content to control. Clearly looking for a sweep. Not yet Clearly, not yet. Clearly is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Green dives into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Taylor Green will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Clearly shoots and misses and Green moves into the clinch. Green looking for a takedown. Clearly turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Clearly manages to end up in side control. Green struggling a bit here. Clearly throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Green works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Green regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Clearly. Green looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Clearly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Clearly trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Green preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Green is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green is taking a breather. Clearly says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Green is thwarting Clearly's attempts to control the position. Clearly is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Clearly tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Green has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Green lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Green lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Green postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Clearly looks a forlorn figure.
Green tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Clearly is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Green pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Green dominating with strikes here. Green looking to secure an arm triangle but Clearly defends it well. Clearly is desperately trying to improve his position but Green has a good base and remains in mount. Green sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Green raining down shots from the mount! Clearly tries to hold on but Green pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clearly is trying desperately to improve position. The referee warns Clearly that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Clearly tries to reverse the position but Green maintains control. Green controlling the position easily from mount. Green breaks from Clearly's wrist control and lands an elbow. Green scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Clearly tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Green cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Taylor Green dominated that second round. That's time! Green's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Clearly's head. Clearly tries to roll over but Green keeps him under control. Clearly moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Clearly trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Clearly wants to sweep here but Green controlling him for the moment. Clearly looking to control.
Green passes Clearly's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Clearly is trying to get back to full guard. Green is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Clearly has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Clearly wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it. Green decides to stand and escape the position. Clearly shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Green counters with a series of strikes. Clearly will be more careful next time no doubt. Clearly bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Clearly working the strikes but Green uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Clearly not landing any meaningful shots this time. Clearly is nestled in close to Green, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Taylor Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Clearly is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Clearly thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green blocking the ground and pound attempt from Clearly. Clearly scoring with strikes to the body and head. Clearly working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Clearly slips a nice elbow through Green's hands, connecting with Green's forehead. Clearly working the head and body with strikes. Clearly with the ground and pound but Green uses the opportunity to regain guard. Clearly thows a big elbow that misses. Clearly is looking to work some ground and pound but Green has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green tries to land a sweep but no joy. Clearly working some strikes from top position. Clearly lands a couple of elbows.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Taylor Green. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
