Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emilianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by El Garrote. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emilianenko fails with the takedown.
Gomes stuffs the takedown attempt from Emilianenko. Emilianenko gets slowly back to his feet.
Emilianenko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gomes.
Emilianenko shoots in but Gomes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Emilianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Emilianenko fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gomes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Emilianenko is trying to maintain the position but Gomes is very close to passing his half guard.
Gomes takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gomes slips a nice elbow through Emilianenko's hands, connecting with Emilianenko's forehead.
Gomes prevents Emilianenko from improving his position.
Gomes wants to pass to mount but Emilianenko is defending the position.
Emilianenko controlling the position well.
Gomes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Emilianenko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gomes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Emilianenko!
Gomes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Emilianenko can't escape the position.
Gomes postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Emilianenko looks a forlorn figure.
It looks like Fedor Emilianenko has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
