5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ravish McTavish! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from McTavish. McTavish throws a jab but it's blocked by Preston. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. McTavish swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McTavish misses with a double jab.
Preston is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Preston staying out of range there. McTavish is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McTavish.
Preston slips a jab and a cross from McTavish.
Preston misses with a wild body shot. Nice uppercut there from McTavish. Horrible takedown by Preston or perhaps it was just good defense by McTavish which made him look bad.

McTavish rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Preston moves out of range and avoids them all easily. McTavish swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Preston checks a low kick from McTavish. Ravish McTavish is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Preston misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McTavish is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Preston. Preston circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McTavish tries to clinch but Preston is having none of it. McTavish smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A combination from McTavish does no damage. McTavish tries to bum rush Preston with a series of wild strikes but Preston uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McTavish throws the left hand but Preston avoids the punch easily. McTavish throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McTavish tries to clinch up but Preston circles away and keeps his distance. McTavish loads up on a big right hand but Preston slips the punch.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Preston throwing shots but missing, from side control. Preston goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McTavish has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Preston but great work by McTavish. McTavish trying to control the action but Preston is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McTavish connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Preston some visible discomfort.
McTavish is looking to take a break and control but Preston is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Preston is trying to get back to half guard. McTavish controlling the position. Preston is looking for a sweep. The referee asks McTavish politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. McTavish prefers to stall for the moment though. Preston is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McTavish working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Preston gets back to half guard. Preston has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McTavish is working away from the top position though. McTavish really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Preston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Preston is staying active underneath McTavish, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Preston looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Preston wants to free his trapped foot but McTavish is holding on for dear life with his legs. Preston seems to be looking for submissions.

Preston throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Preston is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. McTavish controlling Preston's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McTavish keeping full guard, as Preston tries to pass. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McTavish holds on and takes a little breather. Preston looking to pass the guard. McTavish keeping moving, preventing Preston from controlling successfully. Preston drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McTavish manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Preston has McTavish in his guard.

McTavish trying to control the position from guard on top but Preston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Preston looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McTavish passes into half guard. Preston looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Preston is looking for a sweep. McTavish is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Preston looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Preston is trying to maintain the position but McTavish is very close to passing his half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McTavish is trying to control. Preston wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McTavish perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. McTavish is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Preston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Preston is pressing down on McTavish's thigh, looking to free his foot. McTavish is holding on for now. That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Preston connects with a nice short shot to McTavish's temple. Preston is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McTavish doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. McTavish slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Preston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McTavish is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! Donk. McTavish catches Preston right on the button with a cross. Preston shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McTavish defends it nicely. Nice sprawl there from McTavish as Preston shoots in.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McTavish lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Preston has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Preston and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. McTavish moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ravish McTavish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Preston takes one to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight! Ravish McTavish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McTavish has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
