Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Big Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gregory Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyrone Big Dog! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gregory Silva! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva leaves Big Dog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Silva looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Big Dog shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Big Dog fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrone Big Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva lands a head kick. Big Dog smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Silva gets a takedown into half guard. Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Big Dog is defending well.
Big Dog wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva throwing shots but Big Dog is blocking nicely. Silva is nestled in close to Big Dog, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Big Dog blocking the ground and pound attempt from Silva. Silva with the ground and pound but Big Dog uses the opportunity to regain guard. Silva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silva wants to get up but he can't break Big Dog's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Silva stands up and waves to Big Dog to follow him. Silva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Big Dog's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Big Dog is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Big Dog manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Big Dog in his guard. Big Dog wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Big Dog has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Big Dog's guard. Silva wants to stand but Big Dog has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Big Dog has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle. Big Dog working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Big Dog trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.
Big Dog keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass. Big Dog is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Big Dog counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Big Dog. Silva looks gassed! Big Dog drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Big Dog has Silva in his guard. Silva postures up and lands a big shot to Big Dog's brow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Big Dog is keeping the position for now. Silva being controlled here momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregory Silva dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva throws a lazy body kick and Big Dog counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. Big Dog is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silva has escaped the position, nice work there. Big Dog wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Big Dog tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Big Dog has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Silva struggling a bit here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva sneaks back into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva moves into full guard.
Big Dog wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva is pulling down on Big Dog's head to control his posture. Silva wants to sweep here but Big Dog controlling him for the moment. Big Dog looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Big Dog has Silva pulled in close to control his posture.

Silva with a nice head shot there. Silva with a nice head shot there. Silva with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Silva is working Big Dog over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Silva trying to control but Big Dog is working from the bottom. Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Big Dog works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Big Dog looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Big Dog looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Big Dog! Big Dog is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Silva looks calm but he's in trouble here. Big Dog gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Silva is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Big Dog lets go of the hold and Silva can pop his arm back in it's socket.
