Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steve Gorvinskichev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch but Gorvinskichev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

It looks like Mike Kerr has been cut.
Kerr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Gorvinskichev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Gorvinskichev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gorvinskichev trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kerr wants to sweep here but Gorvinskichev controlling him for the moment.
Gorvinskichev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kerr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gorvinskichev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gorvinskichev trying to control but Kerr is working from the bottom.

Kerr is looking for a triangle but Gorvinskichev pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorvinskichev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kerr looks to score with a jab to the body but Gorvinskichev is just out of range.
Gorvinskichev jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kerr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gorvinskichev circles away quickly and effectively.
Gorvinskichev throws a push kick but Kerr slaps the foot to one side.
Gorvinskichev rushes Kerr with punches - Kerr moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Kerr goes down! Gorvinskichev follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Gorvinskichev!
