The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza slips a jab and a cross from Silvah.
Silvah lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Souza tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Silvah misses with a hook. Souza is looking to clinch. Souza slips a straight right by Silvah. Silvah moves into the clinch. Souza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silvah has him pressed against the cage. Silvah's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Souza shoots in and bounces Silvah off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Silvah is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Souza is posturing up here but Silvah has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Souza tries to roll out but it's too tight and Souza has to tap! Slick submission there by Silvah!
