Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samryn Redflame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco has chosen Till I Collapse as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Franco shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Redflame tries to roll over but Franco keeps him under control.
Franco is trying to control the action in half guard but Redflame is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Redflame is looking to improve his position.
Redflame keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Franco wants to pass the guard but Redflame is keeping the position.

Franco drops back, looking for a kneebar! Redflame looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Redflame looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Redflame!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Franco gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

It looks like Samryn Redflame has been cut.

Franco closes the distance and clinches.
Redflame tries to circle away but Franco has him pinned against the cage.
Franco lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Redflame tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Franco creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Franco has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Redflame is trying to keep an underhook but Franco manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Franco drops back looking for a leg! Redflame is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Redflame manages to kick Franco off! Franco jumps back into Redflame's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Franco is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Redflame doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Franco.

Franco is trying to work for a kimura but Redflame is defending well.
Franco is keen to just control but Redflame is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Redflame tries to keep at a distance but Franco has taken the fight into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Franco scores with a nice short uppercut.
Redflame can't find room to land a body shot as Franco controls the action.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Franco stalls.

Franco wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Redflame manages to pass to side control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Franco moves into the clinch successfully.
Redflame creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Franco gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Redflame regains guard.

Franco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Redflame works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Franco has gone for a leg lock! Redflame slips out almost immediately though and dives into Franco's guard.
Redflame wants to pass the guard but Franco is keeping the position.

Franco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Redflame doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Redflame manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Franco uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Franco shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Redflame is trying to defend but Franco finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Franco is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Redflame is just riding it out for now. Franco eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Franco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
