Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Ooka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Von Materhorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Ooka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Von Materhorn! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Materhorn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ooka is looking to control Von Materhorn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ooka avoid being mounted? Von Materhorn is trying to control the action in half guard but Ooka is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ooka won't allow Von Materhorn to pass to mount. Ooka is trying to stand.
Von Materhorn trying to control from half guard but Ooka is working away. Ooka has one foot on Von Materhorn's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Ooka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ooka thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Von Materhorn is trying to stand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ooka is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Von Materhorn ducks under a wild hook from Ooka. Ooka lands a head shot. Ryan Von Materhorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Von Materhorn avoids the body shot from Ooka.
Ooka throws a right and a left that Von Materhorn avoids nicely. Von Materhorn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Von Materhorn tries for a takedown but Ooka circles away easily enabling Ooka to counter with a crisp jab. Ooka slaps away a takedown attempt from Von Materhorn, before circling back to the center of the mat. Von Materhorn looks to land a combination but Ooka avoids it well. Von Materhorn walks into a straight right hand from Ooka. Von Materhorn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Von Materhorn tries to clinch up but Ooka circles away and keeps his distance. Ooka has taken the fight to the clinch.
Von Materhorn with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Materhorn tries to pull guard but Ooka won't allow it.
Paul Ooka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Von Materhorn. Ooka has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Von Materhorn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ooka is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ooka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ooka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Ooka has his foot on Von Materhorn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Von Materhorn works his way back into a safe position though. Von Materhorn is looking to work some ground and pound but Ooka has wrist control. Von Materhorn looking to sit in guard and control but Ooka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ooka wants to pass the guard but Von Materhorn is keeping the position. Ooka trying to control the position from guard on top but Von Materhorn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ooka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Von Materhorn is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Materhorn wants to get back to his feet but Ooka is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ooka trying to control but Von Materhorn is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Von Materhorn controls Ooka momentarily but Ooka frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ooka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Von Materhorn defends it nicely. Ooka showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Von Materhorn.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Von Materhorn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ooka. Ooka cracks Von Materhorn with an open hand slap. Von Materhorn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ooka swinging wilding here.
Ooka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Von Materhorn as he jumps to the side. Von Materhorn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ooka counters with a three punch combo that has Von Materhorn backing up. Von Materhorn nods at Ooka to acknowledge the strikes. Ooka shoots for a takedown but Von Materhorn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ooka scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ooka fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ooka fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Von Materhorn on the side of the head. Von Materhorn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ooka defending well as Von Materhorn loads up on a big left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Ooka dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Von Materhorn chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ooka lands a jab. Von Materhorn shoots in for a double leg but Ooka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Von Materhorn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ooka moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ooka looks to land a combination. Von Materhorn sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Ooka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Von Materhorn at a distance.
Paul Ooka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Von Materhorn slips a jab and a cross from Ooka.
Ooka looks for a takedown but Von Materhorn sprawls well. Ooka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Von Materhorn fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Von Materhorn has taken the fight to the clinch.
Von Materhorn tries to circle away but Ooka has him pinned against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Von Materhorn is looking to break free of the clinch but Ooka has double underhooks. Von Materhorn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ooka uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ooka moves in looking to clinch but Von Materhorn pushes him off. Ooka misses with a combination
and Von Materhorn counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Von Materhorn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ooka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ooka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Von Materhorn throws a big right hand that misses. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Von Materhorn stopping the sweep attempt from Ooka. Von Materhorn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ooka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Von Materhorn! Ooka jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Von Materhorn is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Von Materhorn and Ooka has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ooka is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Ooka looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Von Materhorn wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Materhorn is trying to get back to half guard. Von Materhorn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ooka in side control, throwing shots but Von Materhorn defends. Ooka decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ooka is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ooka!
Ooka moves into the clinch. Ooka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Ooka. Ooka has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Von Materhorn avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ooka taking a breather. Ooka manages to break the clinch.
Ooka stuffs the takedown. Paul Ooka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Von Materhorn. Ooka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ooka looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ooka tries to close the distance and clinch but Von Materhorn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Von Materhorn looks to throw the jab but Ooka is out of range. Ooka closes the distance and clinches. Von Materhorn prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ooka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Von Materhorn pushes Ooka up against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Ooka dominated that second round. That's time! Ooka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Ooka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Von Materhorn is looking for a sweep. Ooka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ooka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Von Materhorn's head. Ooka is looking to advance position but Von Materhorn won't allow it. Ooka passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Von Materhorn! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Von Materhorn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ooka controlling his opponent. Von Materhorn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ooka punishing his opponent with strikes. Ooka is working for a guillotine from mount but Von Materhorn frees his head quite easily.
Ooka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Von Materhorn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Materhorn is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ooka jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Von Materhorn manages to avoid the submission attempt. Ooka in side control, just content to control the action for now. Ooka decides to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Materhorn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ooka counters with a three punch combo that has Von Materhorn backing up. Von Materhorn nods at Ooka to acknowledge the strikes. A head kick by Von Materhorn misses so Ooka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Paul Ooka is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ooka looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Von Materhorn wants to stand up but Ooka is controlling him. Ryan Von Materhorn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooka sitting in guard, not really doing much. Von Materhorn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ooka is controlling him. Ooka content to stall in guard here. Ooka gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Ooka showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ooka, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
