Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Villi Kotobalavu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotobalavu has chosen "Another Body Murdered" by Faith No more & Boo-Yaa Tribe as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Miyagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Villi Kotobalavu!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyagi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kotobalavu tries to avoid it but Miyagi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kotobalavu to the ground. Kotobalavu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kotobalavu moves into the clinch successfully.

Kotobalavu gets underhooks to prevent Miyagi's takedown attempt.
Miyagi fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiro Miyagi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miyagi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kotobalavu just stands there and leans against the cage.

It looks like Hiro Miyagi has been cut.

Miyagi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kotobalavu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Miyagi jumps guard but Kotobalavu stands there with Miyagi around his waist. Miyagi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kotobalavu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Miyagi is trying to drag Kotobalavu to the mat but Kotobalavu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Miyagi successfully pulls guard.
Kotobalavu trying to control the position from guard on top but Miyagi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Miyagi is trying to control the position but Kotobalavu postures up.

Kotobalavu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Miyagi wants to control but Kotobalavu is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Miyagi is trying to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kotobalavu in particular looking to stall.
Kotobalavu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kotobalavu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Miyagi is squirming around, avoiding Kotobalavu's attempts to control the action.
Miyagi stops Kotobalavu from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kotobalavu controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyagi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Miyagi is working to get back to half guard.

Kotobalavu is standing up, even though he is in mount.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Miyagi shoots in for a double leg but Kotobalavu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Miyagi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kotobalavu paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kotobalavu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Miyagi has time to react.
Villi Kotobalavu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kotobalavu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Miyagi is out of range and Kotobalavu settles back down.
Kotobalavu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hiro Miyagi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oh Miyagi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kotobalavu drops Miyagi with a naaaaasty hook - Miyagi is in real trouble here! Kotobalavu dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
