Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy The Reaper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Reaper comes to the cage accompanied by Bring 'em Out. Frank Richardson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Richardson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Reaper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Richardson moves in looking to clinch but The Reaper pushes him off.
Richardson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of The Reaper's head.
The Reaper lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nice defenses there by Richardson.
The Reaper closes the distance looking to clinch

and Richardson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Richardson.
Richardson controls from within his opponent's guard.
The Reaper utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The Reaper is working an open guard so Richardson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Richardson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Richardson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Richardson is working for a guillotine from mount but The Reaper frees his head quite easily.
The Reaper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Richardson on the ground.

Richardson controlling from the full mount.
The Reaper regains half guard.
The Reaper is breathing heavily.
Richardson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Richardson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for The Reaper to stand up.

Richardson closes this distance looking for a takedown but The Reaper circles away.

Richardson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Reaper is trying to defend but Richardson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Richardson wants to free his trapped foot but The Reaper is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Reaper tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Richardson manages to move to mount!

Richardson avoids the attempt from The Reaper to control.

Richardson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but The Reaper manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Richardson prevents The Reaper from escaping the position.
Richardson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Richardson looks up at the clock and then as The Reaper takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Richardson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The Reaper tries to improve position but can't.

Richardson decides to stand back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Richardson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Richardson slows the pace down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Richardson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Richardson throws the kick towards the body but The Reaper avoids it.
Richardson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The Reaper throws a lazy right hand but Richardson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Richardson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The Reaper controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The Reaper trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Richardson controlling from mount.
The Reaper takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Richardson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Richardson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Richardson controlling the pace for now.

Richardson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… The Reaper is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by The Reaper and Richardson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The Reaper regains half guard, as Richardson was trying to land strikes.
Richardson throwing shots but The Reaper is blocking nicely.
The Reaper won't allow Richardson to pass to mount.
The Reaper wants to get back to full guard.
Frank Richardson has got the better of the ground game so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Richardson controlling the pace.

Richardson gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Richardson fails with the takedown.
Richardson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The Reaper wants to clinch.
Richardson tries to bum rush The Reaper with a series of wild strikes but The Reaper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Richardson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


The Reaper wants to clinch

and Richardson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The Reaper is looking to get back to is feet but Richardson passes into side control.
Richardson in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Richardson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Richardson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The Reaper trying to control but Richardson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Richardson cracks The Reaper with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing The Reaper from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Richardson has good solid back control here.

The Reaper defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Richardson's arms.

Richardson is riding his opponent, not letting The Reaper buck him off.

Despite being in the dominant position, Frank Richardson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Richardson avoids a punch combination nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The Reaper wants to control but Richardson postures up.

Frank Richardson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Frank Richardson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Richardson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
