Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between You Just Got Subbed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and emmet smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). emmet smith will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Subbed gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Subbed looking to hit a scissor sweep but smith is one step ahead there.
smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Subbed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Subbed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Subbed swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Subbed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Subbed has control of smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are battling for position here. smith manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Subbed won't allow smith to sweep him here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

smith throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Subbed was covering up waiting for the punch and smith finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Subbed lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for smith!

Subbed swats away the attempt to clinch by smith.
smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Subbed as he jumps to the side.
Horrible takedown by smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Subbed which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Subbed swats him away and circles back towards the center.
