De la Hoya drops Hammerston with a beautiful combination! Hammerston stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - De la Hoya is looking for the KO!

Hammerston shoots in for a double leg but De la Hoya sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
De la Hoya fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hammerston on the side of the head.

De la Hoya throws a series of punches but Hammerston moves out of range.

Oscar De la Hoya showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hammerston is trying hard to land a takedown here. De la Hoya sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
De la Hoya leaves Hammerston with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Hammerston. That's going to take a lot out of him.
