Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Emelianenko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gordon Freeman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko throws a right and a left that both miss. Freeman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Freeman passes the guard and advances to mount! Freeman can't control as he wanted to and Emelianenko manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Emelianenko gets full guard. Freeman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Emelianenko controls Freeman momentarily but Freeman frees himself. Freeman trying to control but Emelianenko is working from the bottom. Emelianenko working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko pulls Freeman in to control the position. Freeman postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Freeman swats away the attempt to clinch by Emelianenko. Freeman gets a takedown into half guard. Freeman is looking for a kimura here.
Freeman seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freeman is looking for a kimura here.
Freeman is breathing heavily. Freeman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Emelianenko is just riding it out for now. Freeman eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Freeman wants to pass the guard but Emelianenko is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Freeman stops Emelianenko from getting back to his feet.
Ground and pound from Freeman. Emelianenko looks like he's trying to stand up.
Freeman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Emelianenko wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Some wild striking there from Emelianenko.
Freeman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Emelianenko sprawls well. Emelianenko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet. Freeman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Emelianenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Freeman's head. Emelianenko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Freeman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Freeman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Emelianenko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Emelianenko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Emelianenko! Freeman is trying to work for a sweep but Emelianenko has mounted him! Emelianenko tries to control but Freeman wriggling away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Freeman can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gordon Freeman dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Emelianenko feints and as Freeman raises his hands in defense, Emelianenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Freeman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Freeman looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Emelianenko has picked Freeman up and slammed him! Freeman can't keep hold of the triangle and Emelianenko manages to pass to side control! Freeman is trying to improve his position. Freeman is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Emelianenko decides to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko tries to clinch but Freeman moves out of range. Emelianenko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Freeman shoots for a takedown but Emelianenko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Emelianenko swings away with a leg kick that misses. Emelianenko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Emelianenko moves in looking to clinch but Freeman pushes him off. Emelianenko throws a right and a left that both miss. Freeman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Emelianenko napping and manages to drive through into side control! Freeman in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Emelianenko is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
