Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DonJay Bess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DonJay Bess will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Blake Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, DonJay Bess! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bess avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stevenson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bess is being controlled here. Bess is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bess really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stevenson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Stevenson slows the pace down. Bess is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevenson scores with punches from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bess tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stevenson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Stevenson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Bess lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bess tries for a takedown but Stevenson circles away easily and Stevenson counters with a nice kick to the body. Stevenson is breathing heavily. The fight stays on the outside here - Bess looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stevenson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bess closes the distance but Stevenson moves to the side and Stevenson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bess! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bess is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bess is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Stevenson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bess is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Blake Stevenson!
