Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between EJ Tap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tap's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pop Lock and Drop It. EJ Tap could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, EJ Tap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Johnson! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Tap misses. John Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Tap circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tap avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Johnson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tap looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Johnson scores with a head kick.
It looks like EJ Tap has been cut. Crunch! Johnson slams his shin into Tap's torso. Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tap.
Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Tap. Tap drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Johnson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tap tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tap scores with a shoulder strike. Tap misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Tap has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for EJ Tap. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Tap will feel that in the morning. Tap is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tap's calf. Tap avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Johnson slips under a jab from Tap. Tap takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson lands a big head kick that sends Tap tumbling to the mat! Johnson takes a step backwards and waves Tap back to his feet - he wants the finish! A head kick misses from Johnson. Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Johnson. Tap lands with a right to the head. Johnson blocking some punches.
Johnson lands an elbow just above Tap 's eye.
EJ Tap's cut is getting worse. Johnson scores with a nice hook to the head. Tap takes an elbow to the forehead.
Tap is rocked! Johnson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Oh Tap is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
EJ Tap's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Johnson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Jeez, EJ Tap's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Johnson has Tap pressed against the cage. He pushes Tap back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Johnson throws a beautiful elbow that sends Tap crashing to the floor! Johnson piles on the pressure with more strikes! Tap is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Johnson!
