Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cool McCold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCold comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Back in Black kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCold circles away quickly and effectively.

A close round but Cool McCold will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Griffin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffin wants to control but McCold is keeping him busy.

McCold has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griffin is working away from the top position though.
Griffin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCold's head.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cool McCold seems to be getting the better of the standup.
McCold with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Griffin to score with a decent uppercut.
McCold takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Griffin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Griffin connects with a nice short shot to McCold's temple.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Griffin is taking a breather. McCold says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

McCold tries to lock up and control but Griffin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by Griffin there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Brian Griffin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Griffin is pressing down on McCold's thigh, looking to free his foot. McCold is holding on for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
