Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and R J MacReady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beam kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dragula. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, R J MacReady!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacReady tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beam was well out of range. Poor timing from MacReady.
MacReady uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Beam has time to react.
Beam drops his hands momentarily and MacReady takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
MacReady slips a straight right by Beam.
Beam misses with a head kick.
Beam moves forwards but MacReady connects with a nice, crisp jab.
MacReady ducks under a wild hook from Beam.
R J MacReady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacReady misses with a wild body shot.
MacReady fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
MacReady throws a series of punches but Beam moves out of range.
A jab lands there for MacReady.
MacReady tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beam paws at him with a jab and circles away.
MacReady scores with a body shot.
MacReady throws a combination. Beam tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
MacReady smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Beam paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
MacReady ducks right into an uppercut from Beam.
Beam misses with a head kick.
Beam is breathing heavily.
MacReady takes one to the chin there.
MacReady throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
MacReady clinches up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
MacReady escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
MacReady swinging wilding here.
MacReady connects with the punch.
MacReady sends Beam crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! MacReady is motioning to the referee to let Beam up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
MacReady misses with a jab, cross combination.
MacReady swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
MacReady drops Beam with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Beam looks back up at him and smiles so MacReady waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Beam is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
MacReady throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
MacReady feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Beam sprawling to the canvas! Beam rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can MacReady finish him?!
Oh Beam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
MacReady cracks Beam with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Beam tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but MacReady pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Beam is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). R J MacReady!
