Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Atme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Bula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bula has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Atme! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Bula! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Atme. Bula looks gassed! Atme is looking to take a break and control but Bula is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The strikes coming from Atme are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Atme working the ground and pound but Bula is defending the strikes. Atme stands up. Atme has managed to clinch.
Atme breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Atme.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atme landing a few strikes. Atme tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bula's legs. Atme takes a little break here. Bula wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Bula prevents Atme from improving position. Atme wants to control but Bula is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Atme postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Atme is looking to take a break and control but Bula is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The strikes coming from Atme are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Atme knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bula on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Atme closes the distance and pushes Bula back into the cage. Atme ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Atme no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Bula tries to free his leg and advance position but Atme is retaining full guard. Atme wants to sweep here but Bula controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atme wants to stand up but Bula is controlling him. Bula preventing the sweep. Atme manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Atme in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Atme working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Atme landing punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bula tries to lock up and control but Atme gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Atme trying to control but he's not successful this time. Atme controlling the pace for now. Atme lands a nice shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Atme prevents Bula from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Atme dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Atme shoots in but no luck this time. Atme closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Atme pressing his opponent against the cage. Atme manages to pull guard.
Atme wants to stand and escape but Bula is having none of it. Bula trying to control the position from guard on top but Atme is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Atme wants to stand but Bula is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Atme holds on and takes a little breather. Bula trying to control but Atme is working from the bottom. Atme on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Atme tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atme had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bula is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Atme Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bula's back instead. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Atme's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Atme looking for the choke but no joy. Bula wants to control his opponent's hands but Atme gets his hands free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bula is in bad spot here.
Atme looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Bula is taking damage to the body and head. Bula turns into Atme and is now in his guard.
Atme throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bula drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Atme. Bula with a poor takedown and Atme counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bula's guard now. Atme has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Atme wants to control from the top but Bula keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atme is really struggling to control Bula but he's trying to hold on to the position. Atme working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bula's head. Bula keeping moving, preventing Atme from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bula wants to stand but Atme is controlling the position. Atme decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bula tries for a takedown but Atme circles away easily and Atme counters with a shoot takedown. Bula fights it but they end up in guard. Bula looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bula tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bula is wriggling around but Atme manages to pass to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bula gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Atme counters with a series of strikes. Bula will be more careful next time no doubt. Atme drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Atme wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bula keeps working. Atme lands a decent elbow from side control. Bula tries to buck Atme off but Atme is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bula gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Atme wants to pass the guard but Bula is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bula trying to control here.
Bula is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Atme is staying active. Atme is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bula has managed to free his arm - good work. Atme wants to control but Bula is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Atme has closed the distance and engaged Bula in a clinch.
Atme is trying to drag Bula to the mat but Bula just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Atme breaks the clinch.
Bula throws a leg kick but Atme moved away. Bula gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Atme to score an easy takedown into full guard. Atme wants to pass the guard but Bula is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bula looking to hit a scissor sweep but Atme is one step ahead there. Bula keeping moving, preventing Atme from controlling successfully. Bula working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bula is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bula not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Benny Bula has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Atme changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bula looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Atme looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bula is working to avoid the ground and pound but Atme connects with a decent elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Atme showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Atme, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
