Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nancy Sings - Jandek. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Al Capone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Anderson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Capone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes. Capone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Capone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anderson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Anderson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. No luck with that takedown attempt from Capone. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Capone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Capone looks to clinch and Anderson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Anderson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Capone throws a combination that misses and Anderson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Capone has his takedown stuffed and Anderson counters with a three punch combo that has Capone backing up. Capone nods at Anderson to acknowledge the strikes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Capone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Capone throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Capone darts in trying to clinch and Anderson counters with a good low kick that Capone was not able to check. Capone misses with a takedown and Anderson counters with a straight right hand. Anderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Capone tries for a takedown but Anderson circles away easily and Anderson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Capone is lucky that one didn't land flush. Al Capone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson throws a nice looking combination but Capone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Some wild striking there from Capone.
Capone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Anderson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Capone tries for a takedown but Anderson circles away easily and Anderson counters with a thumping low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Capone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson fails in his attempt to clinch. Anderson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Capone. Capone showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Anderson.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Capone misses the jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Anderson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Capone gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab. Capone fails with the takedown and Anderson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Anderson tries to land a leg kick but Capone saw it coming and moves away.

Capone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Anderson can't break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Anderson moves into range and clinches up with Capone. Anderson stalling in the clinch but Capone improves position. Capone tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Capone wants a takedown.

Capone is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Anderson prevents a takedown attempt there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Capone has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Anderson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Capone drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Anderson has Capone pressed against the cage, preventing Capone from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Anderson stalling.

Capone drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Capone fails with the takedown and Anderson moves into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Capone as Anderson tries to tie him up. Anderson working hard to break the clinch. Capone goes for a takedown attempt but Anderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson tests Capone's chin there with a solid looking shot. Capone throws a big shot that misses. Capone connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Capone checks a low kick from Anderson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Capone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Capone checks a leg kick. Anderson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Anderson moves into the clinch. Anderson stops a takedown attempt from Capone.
Capone looking for a takedown. Capone has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anderson is trying to keep an underhook but Capone manages to get the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Capone tries to pass to full mount but Anderson defends it. Anderson pushes Capone off looking to stand but Capone dives back in and keeps control.
Anderson won't allow Capone to pass to mount. Capone not landing any meaningful shots this time. Capone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Capone working Anderson over with strikes. Anderson keeping hold of Capone's head, controlling as best he can. Capone scoring with strikes to the body and head. Capone working over Anderson with some ground and pound. Anderson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nice strikes from Capone there. Capone missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Capone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anderson's head. Capone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Anderson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is holding on to half guard well. Anderson pushes Capone off looking to stand but Capone dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Capone thows a big elbow that misses. Capone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Capone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Capone lands a couple of decent looking shots. Anderson wants to stand and escape but Capone is having none of it. Anderson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Anderson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Capone with a poor takedown and Anderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Capone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Capone scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Al Capone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Capone. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Capone pushes down on Anderson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Anderson is trying to stand.
Anderson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Capone is in close to Anderson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Capone looking to pass the guard. Capone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Capone trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anderson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Capone! Capone is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anderson blocks Capone's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Capone is in all sorts of trouble here.
Capone wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Luke Anderson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Capone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Capone is really stuck here.
And that's the end of the fight! Al Capone showed his dominance in that final round. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
