Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rush going down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vesa Vempula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rush going down has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rush going down seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
going down shoots in but Vempula avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vempula tries to clinch up.
Vempula tries to clinch up but going down circles away and keeps his distance.
going down throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vempula's waist but Vempula gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing going down off to one side.

going down is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vempula defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
going down seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vempula does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Vempula is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

going down is looking for a kimura but Vempula is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for going down to get the leverage.
going down looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Vempula really doesn't want to stay on the ground with going down. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
going down frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Vempula tries to hold on but going down pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
