With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabricio Santana!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Santana with that takedown attempt.

Santana closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martinez trying to control but Santana postures up.
Martinez is looking to get back to full guard here but Santana has managed to pass to side control instead.

Santana with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Martinez is squirming around, avoiding Santana's attempts to control the action.

Santana is going olschool here, as he tries to force Martinez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Martinez shrugs it off.

Santana looking to secure an arm triangle but Martinez defends it well.

Martinez is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Santana has taken his back.

Santana has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Martinez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Will Santana go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Santana has got his arm under Martinez's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Martinez has spun round into Santana's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Santana is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Martinez has his hands clasped together but Santana extends an breaks Martinez's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Santana.
