Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sanosuke Kobayakawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Endo Hosei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sanosuke Kobayakawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Endo Hosei!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobayakawa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Endo Hosei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hosei misses with a few strikes there.
Kobayakawa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hosei.
Kobayakawa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hosei swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kobayakawa doesn't manage to clinch there - Hosei circles away.
Hosei tries to bum rush Kobayakawa with a series of wild strikes but Kobayakawa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No joy there for Hosei, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kobayakawa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kobayakawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Hosei counters with a one-two to the body.
Hosei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kobayakawa circles away quickly and effectively.
Hosei tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kobayakawa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hosei avoids it really well and circles away.
Hosei swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kobayakawa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hosei wants to get back to his feet.

Kobayakawa decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Hosei rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kobayakawa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hosei uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kobayakawa.
Hosei throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kobayakawa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hosei circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kobayakawa swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hosei is now in Kobayakawa's guard. A big mistake from Kobayakawa there, giving up the dominant position!

Kobayakawa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hosei wants to stand but Kobayakawa is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hosei gets to his feet. Kobayakawa looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hosei.
Kobayakawa takes a head kick and keeps coming.

and Kobayakawa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hosei's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hosei stands and steps away. Kobayakawa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Kobayakawa counters with a shoot takedown. Hosei fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hosei wants to stand but Kobayakawa is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kobayakawa passes Hosei's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kobayakawa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hosei was covering up waiting for the punch and Kobayakawa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hosei wants to get back to his feet but Kobayakawa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kobayakawa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hosei is staying active underneath Kobayakawa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kobayakawa prevents Hosei from standing back up.
Endo Hosei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sanosuke Kobayakawa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kobayakawa is taking a breather. Hosei says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sanosuke Kobayakawa showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kobayakawa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
