Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodger Todger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Todd Coles! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Todger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Coles.
A punch combination from Todger misses. A decent looking cross lands there for Todger. Coles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Todger lands a nice shot that snaps Coles's head back.
Todger throws a right and a left that Coles avoids nicely. Todger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coles is fending him off so far but Todger persists. Nope, Coles circles away and we're back to standing. Coles moves in looking to clinch but Todger pushes him off. Todger shoots in for a takedown but Coles shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodger Todger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Coles moves into the clinch successfully.
Coles lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Rodger Todger has been cut. Coles lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Coles creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Todger's defenses. Todger is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Coles gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Todger changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Coles fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Todger shoots in but Coles avoids the takedown attempt easily. Todger swats away the attempt to clinch by Coles. Rodger Todger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Todger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Coles pinned against the cage. Coles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Todger is breathing heavily. Coles has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coles lands an elbow just above Todger 's eye. Nice elbow from Coles. Coles lands an elbow that stopped Todger in his tracks for a moment. Coles lands a damaging elbow. Coles lands an elbow inside. Coles gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Coles lands an elbow inside that Todger shrugs off. Todger takes an elbow to the forehead.
Todger is rocked! Coles comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Oh Todger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Coles lands a nice elbow. Coles lands an elbow inside. Coles lands a nice elbow from the clinch. clinched against the cage, Coles lands a big elbow that drops Todger! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Todger is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
