Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryal Squires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Rounded (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rounded comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slayer - Raining Blood kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Will Rounded has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryal Squires!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Rounded!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squires throws a series of punches but Rounded avoids them all with ease.
Rounded jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rounded defending well as Squires loads up on a big left hand.
Rounded throws a left and a right that both miss
and Squires counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rounded swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Squires counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Rounded uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Squires.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Squires throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rounded sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rounded misses with a combination
enabling Squires to counter with a crisp jab.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rounded swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Squires slips under a jab.
Squires ducks under a wild hook from Rounded.
Rounded lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Squires circles away quickly and effectively.

Squires swings for the body but Rounded moves out of range.
Squires looks to land a combination but Rounded avoids it well.
Will Rounded is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Squires throws a lazy right hand but Rounded sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Squires staying out of range there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Squires throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rounded's waist but Rounded gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Squires off to one side.
Squires misses with a body shot.
Rounded throws a looping overhand right but Squires ducks down to avoid it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Squires loads up on a big right hand but Rounded slips the punch.

Squires drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rounded controls Squires momentarily but Squires frees himself.
Squires is in close to Rounded's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Squires is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Squires stands up over Rounded, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Squires wants to control from the top but Rounded keeps moving.
Rounded is pulling down on Squires's head to control his posture.
Squires stays in close to Rounded's body and controls the position.
Squires trying to control but Rounded is working from the bottom.
Squires has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Squires wants to pass the guard but Rounded is keeping the position.

Rounded is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rounded looking for a guillotine here but Squires defends easily.
Rounded is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Will Rounded is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Squires fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rounded avoids it really well and circles away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rounded fails to land with a series of punches.
Ryal Squires seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Squires falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rounded counters with a one-two to the body.
Rounded throws a hook but Squires blocks it.

Rounded throws a right and a left that Squires avoids nicely.
Squires waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Rounded.
Squires is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rounded sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Will Rounded will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rounded looks to land a left hand but Squires moved out of range nicely.

and Squires counters with a takedown into side control.

Rounded is trying to control Squires's posture but Squires avoids it.
The strikes coming from Squires are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Rounded manages to work his way to half guard, despite Squires's best efforts.

Squires wants to work for an arm triangle but Rounded is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rounded is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Squires scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rounded is trying to maintain the position but Squires is very close to passing his half guard.

Squires looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Squires looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rounded with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rounded makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rounded.
Rounded trying to control the position.
Rounded looking to hit a scissor sweep but Squires is one step ahead there.
Squires is fighting to break Rounded's control of his arms but Rounded is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Squires postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rounded is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Squires stopping the sweep attempt from Rounded.
Squires wants to pass the guard but Rounded is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rounded ducks under a wild hook from Squires.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rounded keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rounded misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Squires here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A punch lands to the side of Rounded 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rounded bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rounded moves out of range of the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Squires is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rounded.
Rounded throws a hook to the side of Squires's head but Squires sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Rounded connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Squires cracks a nice hook into Rounded's ribs.

Squires throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Squires missing with a left hand there. Rounded was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Squires swings for the body but Rounded moves out of range.
Rounded thows a left - swing and a miss!
Squires is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rounded.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rounded uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Squires.

Squires avoids a punch combination nicely.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Ryal Squires will probably get the nod.

and Rounded counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Squires! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Rounded!
