The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thortnon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thortnon wants to clinch up but Rodrigues keeps it at a distance.
Thortnon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rodrigues circles away quickly and effectively.
Rodrigues forces Thortnon back against the cage and clinches.
Rodrigues wants a takedown but no success here.
Thortnon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rodrigues.
Rodrigues pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
