Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Tankard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Claude Lemeiux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Adam Tankard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Adam Tankard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Tankard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jean Claude Lemeiux! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lemeiux leaves Tankard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tankard misses with a looping left. Lemeiux throws a hook but Tankard blocks it. Tankard throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tankard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lemeiux shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tankard pinned against the cage. Tankard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lemeiux scores with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - Lemeiux throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lemeiux misses with a takedown and Tankard counters with a straight right hand. Tankard gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tankard wants to control but Lemeiux is keeping him busy. Lemeiux is trying to improve his position. Lemeiux can't do much from the bottom here. Tankard tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tankard fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lemeiux can't do much from the bottom here. Tankard working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Lemeiux tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tankard in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Tankard is chipping away with strikes.
Tankard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lemeiux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tankard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tankard controls the position. Lemeiux tries to bench press Tankard off him but Tankard keeps the position. Tankard working the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lemeiux is looking for a sweep. Tankard lands a nice forearm strike. Tankard scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lemeiux to see if he's OK. Tankard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ground and pound from Tankard seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Lemeiux can't do much from the bottom here. Tankard working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Lemeiux pushes Tankard away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tankard gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lemeiux looks gassed! Tankard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lemeiux can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lemeiux tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tankard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tankard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lemeiux keeps working. Tankard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tankard lands a nice forearm strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Tankard dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tankard misses with a looping right. Lemeiux shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tankard scores with the left hand. Lemeiux knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Jean Claude Lemeiux has been cut. Good exchange - Lemeiux coming out on top. Lemeiux gets caught flat footed, as Tankard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Tankard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tankard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tankard throwing strikes but missing. Tankard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lemeiux looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tankard is one step ahead there. Lemeiux looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tankard scoring with punches to the head and body. Lemeiux pulls Tankard in to control the position. Tankard working some strikes from top position. Lemeiux is breathing heavily. Tankard stands and throws Lemeiux's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lemeiux takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Tankard scores with a couple of short elbows. Tankard misses with the ground and pound. Tankard working away. Check out the look on Tankard's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tankard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tankard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lemeiux is looking for a sweep. Tankard lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Tankard working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Tankard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Tankard lands a few punches from side control. Tankard working the head and body with strikes. Tankard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. An elbow from Tankard crashes against the mat.

Lemeiux takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Tankard lands a decent elbow from side control. Tankard working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Tankard decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lemeiux to his feet.

Tankard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lemeiux slips under a jab. Tankard lands an overhand right. Tankard fails with a takedown attempt. Tankard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lemeiux's guard. Lemeiux utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lemeiux wants to get back to his feet but Tankard is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tankard wants to control from the top but Lemeiux keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Tankard dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jean Claude Lemeiux's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Tankard tries for a takedown but Lemeiux circles away easily and Lemeiux counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tankard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lemeiux is working away from the top position though. Lemeiux missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lemeiux is thwarting Tankard's attempts to control the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lemeiux connects with a nice short shot to Tankard's temple. Lemeiux wants to control but Tankard is keeping him busy. Tankard manages to get to full guard.
Lemeiux takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tankard looking for a guillotine here but Lemeiux defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lemeiux wants to control from the top but Tankard keeps moving. Tankard looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tankard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tankard keeping moving, preventing Lemeiux from controlling successfully. Tankard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lemeiux is aware though and is defending well. Tankard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lemeiux gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lemeiux looking to sit in guard and control but Tankard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tankard throws and elbow that misses. Lemeiux uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tankard's guard. Nice move by Lemeiux! Tankard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lemeiux is one step ahead there. Lemeiux stays in close to Tankard's body and controls the position. Tankard looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tankard has his foot on Lemeiux's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lemeiux works his way back into a safe position though. Tankard controlling Lemeiux's posture. Tankard wants to sweep here but Lemeiux controlling him for the moment. Tankard working a defensive guard here.
Jean Claude Lemeiux has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tankard avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lemeiux has gone for a leg lock! Tankard slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lemeiux's guard. Tankard forces his way into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tankard has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lemeiux working to try and regain half guard.
Adam Tankard is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lemeiux is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Tankard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lemeiux's face.
Tankard controlling the position easily from mount. Tankard lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Tankard showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tankard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
