Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carson McMurder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Fall of Troy - F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crane clinches with his opponent.

Crane unloads a knee to the mid-section. McMurder lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Crane utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. McMurder tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Crane smiles and moves away.
McMurder scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crane wants to get back to his feet. Crane is trying to improve his position. Crane sneaks back into half guard. McMurder looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Crane is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. McMurder is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Crane! McMurder throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Crane because McMurder loaded up on that one. You get the feeling that Crane really doesn't like being in this position too much.
McMurder controlling the pace for now. Crane wants to hold on but McMurder pushes him away. Crane is squirming around, avoiding McMurder's attempts to control the action. Crane keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
McMurder trying to control but he's not successful this time. McMurder has control of Crane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Crane regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McMurder thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Crane tries to lock up and control but McMurder gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. McMurder looking to finish Crane with some ground and pound. This is bad for Crane! Crane tries to reverse the position but McMurder maintains control. McMurder trying to control but Crane is having none of it. Crane is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Crane is squirming around, avoiding McMurder's attempts to control the action. McMurder looking for a guillotine from mount but Crane is having none of it. McMurder in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Crane is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McMurder has hold of Crane's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Crane manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

BOOM! McMurder connects with a massive shot to the dome!
McMurder tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Crane tries to reverse the position but McMurder maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stephen Crane will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Crane is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Crane is looking to clinch. McMurder lands the left hand. McMurder closes the distance and clinches up with Crane, looking for a takedown. McMurder pushes Crane against the cage but Crane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McMurder keeps the fight on the outside. Carson McMurder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Crane tries to clinch up. Crane is looking to clinch. McMurder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crane's waist but Crane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McMurder off to one side. Crane blocks a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crane clinches. McMurder fails to pull the fight into his guard.

McMurder misses with an uppercut. The fight stays on the outside here - Crane looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McMurder fails to land the takedown. Crane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McMurder paws at him with a jab and circles away.

No luck for McMurder with that takedown attempt. Carson McMurder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crane darts in and clinches McMurder up against the cage. McMurder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Crane just stands there and leans against the cage. Crane missing with knees to the body.

McMurder lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crane circles away quickly and effectively. McMurder takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Crane doesn't manage to clinch there - McMurder circles away.

McMurder throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Crane has his hands clasped together but McMurder breaks the hold and Crane is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by McMurder!
