Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kameron Forbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yusuf Akumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kameron Forbs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yusuf Akumi! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akumi tries a head kick but it misses.
Forbs misses with a wild body shot. Forbs lands a jab to the head.
Forbs blocks the body kick.
Forbs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akumi pinned against the cage. Akumi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Forbs throws a nice looking combination but Akumi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Forbs drops Akumi with a left and a right! Oh, Akumi is hurt - Forbs dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Forbs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Akumi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Forbs in side control, just content to control the action for now. Akumi tries to bench press Forbs off him but Forbs keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Forbs stalls from top position. Forbs working away. Forbs staying calm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Forbs is working Akumi over with some ground and pound from side control. Forbs stands up. Forbs slaps away a takedown attempt from Akumi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Akumi looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akumi tries to clinch there but Forbs circles away.
Kameron Forbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Forbs throws a right hand that Akumi ducks under and follows up with a left that Akumi also avoids with ease. Akumi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Forbs clinches. Akumi fails to pull guard.
Forbs just leaning against Akumi, taking a breather. Forbs pulls Akumi into guard.
Forbs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Akumi lands a couple of elbows. Forbs keeping moving, preventing Akumi from controlling successfully. Akumi won't allow Forbs to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Forbs is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Nice body punch from Forbs - that landed with a thud.
Forbs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Forbs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Akumi has his takedown stuffed and Forbs counters with a shoot takedown. Akumi fights it but they end up in guard. Kameron Forbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yusuf Akumi. Forbs not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Forbs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akumi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Akumi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Akumi has his foot on Forbs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Forbs works his way back into a safe position though. Akumi being controlled here, momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kameron Forbs dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Forbs looks to score with a jab to the body but Akumi is just out of range. Forbs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Forbs throws a right and a left that both miss. Some wild striking there from Forbs.
Akumi tries for a takedown but Forbs circles away easily and Akumi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Forbs shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Akumi is trying to defend but Forbs finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Forbs trying to control the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Kameron Forbs just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Forbs moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Akumi with a lazy takedown attempt and Forbs counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Akumi thinking. Akumi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Forbs scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Akumi seems a little lost for a moment, as Forbs dominates the positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Forbs wants to control but Akumi is keeping him busy. Akumi is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Forbs working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akumi stops Forbs from passing to mount. Forbs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Akumi keeps working.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Akumi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Akumi shoots and misses and Forbs counters with a series of strikes. Akumi will be more careful next time no doubt. Kameron Forbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yusuf Akumi. Akumi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Akumi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Forbs tries to bum rush Akumi with a series of wild strikes but Akumi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Akumi is looking to clinch but Forbs is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Forbs misses with a jab, cross combination.
Forbs swats away the attempt to clinch by Akumi. Akumi tries to clinch up letting Forbs counter with a right hand. Akumi tries to bum rush Forbs with a series of wild strikes but Forbs uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Akumi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Forbs throws a series of strikes that have Akumi backpedaling.
A combination from Forbs does no damage. Forbs doesn't manage to clinch there - Akumi circles away.
Akumi slips a straight right by Forbs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kameron Forbs dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Forbs doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A cross from Forbs lands. A nice leg kick lands there from Akumi. Forbs thows a body shot but no joy. Forbs leaves Akumi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kameron Forbs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Akumi tries for a takedown but Forbs circles away easily and Forbs counters with a three punch combo that has Akumi backing up. Akumi nods at Forbs to acknowledge the strikes. Forbs misses with a double jab.

and Akumi counters with a nice double leg into guard. Forbs managing to control the position. Akumi wants to stand but Forbs is controlling his posture from full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Akumi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Akumi trying to control the position from guard on top but Forbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Forbs pulls Akumi in close to his closed guard and prevents Akumi from doing any damage or advancing position. Akumi stops Forbs from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Akumi gets to his feet - Forbs follows without any prompting. Akumi darts in trying to clinch and Forbs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Forbs displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Akumi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Forbs's head. Akumi tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Forbs counters with a nice body shot. Forbs moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Forbs missing with a left hand there. Akumi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Akumi darts in trying to clinch letting Forbs counter with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akumi closes the distance and clinches up with Forbs, looking for a takedown. Akumi pushes Forbs against the cage but Forbs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kameron Forbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yusuf Akumi. Forbs misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Akumi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Forbs is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Forbs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kameron Forbs is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kameron Forbs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Akumi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Forbs controls the pace. Forbs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Akumi can do to turn this around? Akumi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yusuf Akumi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Forbs looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
